<Lunch & Learn>
Plukon Food Group is expanding quickly. With 11,000 employees and 40 locations across 8 countries, it is one of the largest players in the European food industry.
But how do you keep such an international operation secure without having to double the size of your security team every month?On March 26, we step away from theoretical models and sales talk. You’ll get an honest, peer‑to‑peer story directly from Plukon: what worked, what didn’t, and which decisions truly made the difference.
Brandaris Cybersecurity and Rapid7 will then demonstrate how this was achieved.
<The Challenge>
You might recognize the situation: the basics seem to be in order everywhere, but once you look closer, you notice differences per country, location, or team. At Plukon, this was no different. An international organization with 40 locations also means 40 ways of working. Each location has its own pace, IT reality, and day‑to‑day pressures.
And then there’s one small security team trying to maintain oversight.
The question that kept coming back: how can you be sure that the measures you design are actually being carried out? That the antivirus is running. That updates aren’t being postponed. That monitoring doesn’t fall silent after a busy week.
You can sense it: this isn’t a technical problem. It’s about structure, visibility, and rhythm.
<The Approach>
Plukon chose an approach that works in a complex international environment: start small, measure smartly, and place responsibility where it belongs. Rapid7’s Exposure Command provided the foundation. Not as a dashboard for experts, but as a compass for conversations with the country teams.
At a glance, you can see which measures are active at which location, where gaps exist, and where action is needed. But technology alone doesn’t create change. That’s why we jointly chose a simple rhythm: a bi‑weekly meeting with each country team. No long meetings, no spreadsheets, no finger‑pointing. Just: what do we see, what does it mean, what are we going to do?
This fixed cadence created calm and predictability. Teams knew what was expected of them. And the security team no longer had to chase every issue. Coverage increased and so did trust. In this way, gaining control didn’t become a major project, but a habit.
You’ll see how Plukon moved from scattered insights to real control. Not through a major reorganization, but through a smarter way of observing, measuring, and steering. Plukon openly shares what worked, what went wrong, and which decisions brought calm to an organization that never stands still. Together with Brandaris and Rapid7, we will show you how to organize this yourself. How to use technical insights from Exposure Command to initiate conversations with local teams. And how a simple bi‑weekly meeting creates rhythm, predictability, and progress. The result: everyone knows what needs to happen, why it needs to happen, and when it must be finished. Technology provides direction; structure ensures it actually gets done. You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of how to:
Ultimately, you’ll see how control is built: step by step, with structure, realistic goals, and an approach that fits an organization that moves every single day.
<Practical Information>
This session is intended for organizations that already work with Rapid7 or are considering doing so. We focus on professionals who work with security on a daily basis: security officers, SOC managers, security analysts and system engineers. You’ll get an honest, practical story where technology, structure and collaboration come together. The session will be held in Dutch.
